Information collected by the WorthIt Chrome extension

The WorthIt Chrome extension uses the active tab only when the user clicks the extension button. When clicked, the extension may read the current tab URL and page title so WorthIt can open with the product page link filled in.

The extension does not automatically monitor browsing activity. It does not run product checks in the background. It does not collect browsing history across websites.

Information submitted to WorthIt

Users may choose to submit product information to WorthIt, including a product screenshot, product link, product title, buying priorities, intended use, or budget details. This information is used to generate a purchase-risk verdict.

How information is used

WorthIt uses submitted information to provide purchase-risk checks, improve the user experience, troubleshoot issues, and understand basic product usage.

WorthIt does not sell user data. WorthIt does not use user data to determine creditworthiness, lending eligibility, insurance eligibility, employment eligibility, or any unrelated purpose.

Third-party services

WorthIt may use third-party services to operate the product, including hosting, analytics, and AI processing services. These services are used only to support WorthIt's product functionality, reliability, and improvement.
